Frequently asked questions
Questions, answered
What prospective customers ask before they request access — especially about who owns the work and who can see it.
- What is Quarry?
- Quarry is an AI-native sourcing-intelligence platform for acquirers of lower-middle-market companies. Instead of running the same commoditized outbound stack faster, it competes on research depth per target, signal-first targeting, and a credible first touch — and it compounds what it learns into the firm's institutional memory.
- Who is it for?
- A small group of acquirers in the current closed beta: independent searchers, serial consolidators running long-hold buy-and-build playbooks, and the investors behind them. It is built for operators who do their own sourcing, not for mass-outbound teams.
- Who owns the theses and data I create?
- You do. Your theses, buy-boxes, mandates, candidate lists, dossiers, and notes are your property and your confidential information. We claim no ownership and grant ourselves only the limited license needed to host and operate the Service for you. Your analysis, scores, target lists, and outreach are never shared with other customers.
- Can Quarry's operators see my workspace?
- No — not by default, and not silently. Workspace contents are visible only to members you add. Platform operators cannot browse your theses or candidates. The only way anyone gets in for support is a time-boxed, revocable grant your workspace admin approves, and every access under it is logged and visible to you. Our north star is support handled by an ephemeral AI agent scoped to a single request — so a human never reads your IP at all.
- Where does the data come from?
- Provenance-tracked primary sources — Secretary of State filings, permits, regulator records, court filings, and trade rosters — not crowd-sourced databases like Grata, Clay, Apollo, or ZoomInfo, whose lower-middle-market coverage is thin and stale. Every fact carries where it came from, and fields we can't verify are shown as unknown rather than guessed.
- Are Quarry's outputs investment advice?
- No. The platform surfaces research, estimates, and inferences from public and third-party sources. Outputs may be incomplete or inaccurate, are not warranted, and are not legal, financial, investment, tax, or professional advice. You are responsible for verifying information and for any decision you make.
- How do I sign in? Is it secure?
- Access is invite-only and authentication is by email — a one-time code (or password) through our identity provider. A workspace admin controls who is a member and their role. You're responsible for keeping access credentials secure and for the members you add.
- What does it cost?
- Quarry is in a free closed beta while we work with early customers. Pricing for general availability will be shared with beta participants before any charges apply.
- What happens to my data if I stop using Quarry?
- You can stop at any time. On termination your access ends and we handle your Customer Content per our data-retention and deletion practices. Questions about retention or deletion: [email protected].
